“…Hear My Words…”


I wonder if every Bible class teacher feels this way. Some only begin their preparation on a Sunday AM–just before time for class, but this young lady obviously takes her “job” to heart. Do we, and should we do more to help our little ones remember what they hear in class?

Hear My Words

1 Corinthians 3:13-14

Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

I think every teacher looks for ways to better reach her students. I rack my brain every week for memorable and exciting things to do to illustrate my points, spend days working on inspiring illustrations, but so often I finish class thinking, “Did they really listen? Does it all really matter to them?” Especially the three-year-olds. Sometimes their attention seems as hard to keep as a snowflake.
