Yesterday marked the 8th anniversary of this blog, Muliebral Studies. In one sense that is true, but my first post was only on 2013/01/10 (or if you prefer, 01/ 10/2013). You might ask how it’s possible to be marking an eighth anniversary if I only began writing in 2013.
Eight years ago I accidentally stumbled on a link that offered the blog, tested it and was hooked, but I forgot my log-in details and so lost the ability to use it for a long time. I was interested in testing that option again and so created another blog that proved to be useful before I rediscovered this one. Both have been good outlets or logs for my studies and perhaps decent reading for others too. Thus I have two blogs as well as a few articles and books posted on a website, which I call Bible Studies for Women: Muliebral Studies; Muliebral Viewpoint; Articles and Books by Beth Johnson. The link to the website has not proved as satisfying because I depend upon another person’s mood or free time for posting studies.
I am thankful to WordPress.com for offering this service and to those who have subscribed. I am also grateful to those who comment from time to time. BUT…never underestimate the value of those people whose messages pop up now and then, asking if they can help! Those are the unsung heroes who work without pay to help new bloggers like me do the right things.

To be sure, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to both blogs! (-: What a blessing your words are, encouraging and thought provoking in my precious middle-of-the-night quiet moments. Life is so fast-paced I sometimes almost forget what I’m about. Your words remind me that life is also short and only a step from “real” life in eternity….
An echoing thought occurred to me: here the fruit of your labor is, seemingly “out in cyberspace”
waiting for the “random” passerby to find and exclaim over. In a way, like John, you’re “out there,” yet reachable to anyone who realizes the importance of spiritual things and stretches toward deeper thinking. Matt 3:3 “….The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” In our own hearts and even in others’, how are we preparing the way of the Lord for his return? I do know you’re doing what you can; your efforts are a blessing to me personally, and I know they won’t be forgotten by God. Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Nothing happens by chance. (Proverbs 16:9, Eph 1:11 etc). I certainly see the good of your work and its current and potential to do good for others, like the dandelion puffs or bread on the waters. For my own part, it makes me think of 1Thess 1:2-3 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

If only more like you would take time to read and absorb! I do my best to reach those who are searching. Pray these puny efforts will bear fruit.
